LegitTravel is a trip discovery and comparison platform. We do not sell travel packages, process payments or act as a travel agent. All bookings are made directly between you and the operator.

1. Platform Role

LegitTravel (travel.legitcheck.co.ke) provides a directory of travel operators and upcoming trips in Kenya. We verify operators through LegitCheck KE but do not guarantee trip quality, safety or availability. Always confirm trip details directly with the operator before paying.

2. User Responsibilities

You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
You are responsible for verifying operator details before making any payment.
Do not pay any operator without confirming their LegitCheck KE verification status.
Report any suspicious operators or listings immediately via WhatsApp or email.

3. Operator Listings

Operators listed on LegitTravel must hold a valid LegitCheck KE verification. Listings are reviewed manually before going live. We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time without notice. Featured placement fees (KES 1,500/trip) are non-refundable once a listing goes live.

4. Payments

LegitTravel does not process any booking payments. All financial transactions are between you and the travel operator. We recommend using M-Pesa with a payment reference and requesting written confirmation of any booking. LegitTravel is not liable for any financial disputes between users and operators.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Kenyan law (including the Consumer Protection Act 2012), LegitTravel's liability is limited to the removal of offending listings. We do not accept liability for personal injury, financial loss or travel disruption arising from use of this platform.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved under Kenyan jurisdiction.

LegitTravel is part of the Legit Network. Your account works across all Legit platforms. We are committed to protecting your data under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.

Account information: name, email, phone number
Usage data: pages visited, searches made, trips viewed
Device data: browser type, IP address, location (if permitted)
Communications: WhatsApp messages sent through our CTAs are handled by WhatsApp/Meta

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the LegitTravel platform
To personalise trip recommendations
To send you trip alerts and updates (with your consent)
To detect fraud and protect users
Shared within the Legit Network for single sign-on purposes only

3. M-Pesa & Payments

LegitTravel does not process or store payment information. Any M-Pesa transactions are between you and the operator. We may use anonymised transaction data to verify operator legitimacy.

4. Your Rights (Kenya DPA 2019)

Right to access your personal data

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and anonymised analytics cookies to understand platform usage. No advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Before You Pay

Always check the operator's LegitCheck KE badge on their profile
Read at least 5 recent reviews before paying anything
Request written confirmation of dates, inclusions and refund policy
Never pay via personal M-Pesa to an unknown individual — always to a registered business till
If a deal seems too cheap to be true, verify twice

Red Flags to Watch For

Operator refuses to show LegitCheck KE verification
Pressure to pay immediately with no written confirmation
No physical address or registered business name
New account with no reviews
Requests for full payment upfront via personal number

Report a Suspicious Operator

If you encounter a suspicious operator or listing, report immediately via WhatsApp: +254 700 000 000 or email safety@legitcheck.co.ke. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
